Like most people, growing up I was scared of visiting the dentist. It wasn’t until later on when I finally decided to face my fear and get my teeth looked at that I came to the realization that not only was it not bad, but also that it’s something great to do. Growing up in London, I decided to stay in the city and study biology and medical sciences at Western University. Afterward I moved on to study what I wanted to do: dentistry at Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. Working in the Greater Toronto Area for the past year has been a great experience and I’ve learned a lot; however, it’s nice to be back home in London.
I got lucky in the sense that dentistry turned out to be something I really enjoy, and I take pride in achieving the best results possible for my patients. I like to spend time attending dental education courses to keep up to date with recent breakthroughs in dentistry and further my knowledge in the field.
Growing up as part of a big family, family values are important to me. In my free time, I like spending time with family and staying active by exercising and playing soccer and basketball. I also enjoy travelling and learning about new cultures and trying new foods.
Since graduating from Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, it’s also been enjoyable volunteering from time to time with their Dental Outreach program DOCS, where it’s also nice to reconnect with some faculty members and help some of the less fortunate patients in the city.
